VIDEO: Kitty Hawk police investigate suspicious device

Kitty Hawk Police are investigating the discovery of a suspicious device Sunday evening.

Officers were called to an undisclosed location where a military ammunition can was found that was made to look like an explosive device.

Police say names of several officers and Chief Joel Johnson were written on the outside, along with foul language and pictures. The device also emitted a loud siren like a car alarm when activated, but contained no explosives.

A surveillance camera captured images of the suspect, who was wearing dark clothing, a hoodie, sunglasses and a cloth over their face.
