UPDATE: Man wanted for using fake check in Kitty Hawk now wanted for same crime in Elizabeth City

A man that police are still trying to identify that allegedly used a fake check and identification to purchase a desktop computer from the Kitty Hawk Walmart last month is now being sought for committing the same crime in Elizabeth City last fall.

The Kitty Hawk Police Department said they were alerted by a victim who said they had a fake check drawn on their account on October 7, 2019, at the Walmart in Elizabeth City.

The same subject allegedly presented a fake New Jersey driver’s license while making the purchase at the Kitty Hawk store on January 10 around 2 p.m.
