State to host webinar Thursday on COVID-19 resources available to tourism, restaurant industry

North Carolina government and industry group leaders will host a webinar Thursday to update businesses on topics and resources available to the travel and tourism, hotel and restaurant industries related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Scheduled to participate in the webinar from 10 to 11 a.m. are N.C. Secretary of Commerce Anthony Copeland, Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina Vice President for Tourism Wit Tuttell and Vice President of Global Business Services John Loyack and N.C. Restaurant and Lodging Association President and Chief Executive Officer Lynn Minges.

Topics slated for discussion include an overview of the North Carolina economy, the state of the tourism industry in North Carolina, current rules and regulations regarding restaurants and lodging, financial assistance available to businesses, and unemployment and re-employment news.
