In the video, Director Dr. Sheila Davies provides information on COVID-19 and testing in Dare County, and also notes that the total number of cases in the county is now up to 23, which is an increase from 22 cases, as reported in the most recent video update from last week.

In the most recent case, Dr. Davies reports that the individual returned to their home county prior to Dare County receiving the test results. Dare County has worked with the individual who tested positive, as well as their local health department, to ensure that all direct contacts in Dare County were identified and notified.

Out of the 23 cases reported in Dare County since testing began in March, Dr, Davies reports that 18 are residents and five are non-residents.

The video update is above, and is also available for streaming on Dare County’s YouTube channel at youtube.com/DareCounty.

It has also been shared on the Department of Health and Human Services’ FaceBook page and on Dare County’s Twitter account @DareCountyGovt. The video will be broadcast on Current TV Government Channel 191 for local Spectrum TV customers. CurrentTV’s programming schedule and additional programming is available for viewing on-demand at CurrentTV.org.
