Dare County announces three new COVID-19 cases

Dare County Health and Human Services was notified of three new coronavirus cases on Sunday, bring the total number of new cases reported this weekend to five.

All are non-residents. One is a man between the ages of 50 and 64, the second is a man between the ages of 25 and 49 and the third is a man between the ages of 18 and 24. All have transferred to isolation in their homes counties.

Since testing began, Dare County has had 49 coronavirus cases. In the last 10 days, there have been 19 new cases. The county has seen nearly a million visitors since the county reopened May 16.

More details on the most recent cases will be released next week.
