Dare County reports 14 new COVID-19 cases this weekend; pizzeria closes for employee testing

Dare County Health and Human Services reported 14 new coronavirus cases over the weekend, 12 on Saturday and two on Sunday.

The new cases include:

  • Resident, 59-65, male, home isolation
  • Resident, 50-64, female, hospitalized
  • Resident, 25-49, male, home isolation
  • Non-resident, 17 under, male, transferred isolation
  • Non-resident, 25-49, male, transferred isolation
  • Non-resident, 25-49, female, isolating in Dare
  • Non-resident, 17 under, female, transferred isolation
  • Resident, 24-49, female, home isolation
  • Non-resident, 25-49, male, transferred isolation
  • Resident, 25-49, male, home isolation
  • Non-resident, 17 under, male, transferred isolation
  • Resident, 17 under, male, home isolation
  • Non-resident, 65 older, male, transferred isolation
  • Resident, 25-49, male, home isolation

Nags Head Pizza Company said in a Facebook post Sunday that one of the restaurant’s employees had been in direct contact with a COVID-19 case. The restaurant will be closed for the next few days while all employees are tested.
