Three people escaped without injury following a fire over the weekend in northern Currituck County.

Crews were called to the 2000 block of Tulls Creek Road just after midnight Sunday to a fire in progress involving a single story home.

One of the residents got out of the house on their own, while first responders rescued two elderly residents. The cause of the fire was under investigation.

The Crawford Township Volunteer Fire Department, the Moyock Volunteer Fire Department, Currituck County Fire and EMS, and Currituck County Sherriff’s Office responded.
