Pamlico River ferry route to temporarily suspend service Tuesday for ramp maintenance

The N.C. Department of Transportation’s Bayview-Aurora ferry route will be suspending service between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Tuesday, August 16 to perform preventative repairs and maintenance on the ramp at the Aurora terminal.

The route will serve commuters in the early morning before the maintenance begins with the scheduled 5:45 a.m. and 7:15 a.m. departures from Bayview and the 6:30 a.m. departure from Aurora.

After the work is complete, service will resume with the 5 p.m. and 6:15 p.m. departures from Aurora and the 5:40 p.m. departure from Bayview.
