The Outer Banks Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday to celebrate the grand opening of The Learning Treehouse, a new early childhood education and youth program now open at 3928 N. Croatan Highway in Kitty Hawk.
Founded by Cathryn Bravo, The Learning Treehouse offers preschool, afterschool, and school’s-out camp programs for children on the Outer Banks. The program is designed to provide high-quality, nurturing educational experiences for young learners in the community, filling a meaningful need for families in the region.
Cathryn Bravo cut the ribbon alongside her three children and business colleague, Beatris Beristain, joined by Kitty Hawk Mayor Charlotte Walker, Chamber Board members and SPARC Committee members.
“Tuesday’s ribbon cutting represents more than the opening of a new childcare facility, it’s an investment in our families and the future of our community. Having operated a childcare center myself, I understand firsthand how important it is for parents to have access to high-quality childcare,” said Mayor Walker. “This new center will provide a nurturing environment where our youngest residents can learn, grow, and thrive. We’re proud to welcome The Learning Treehouse to Kitty Hawk and grateful to everyone who helped make it possible.”
