The Outer Banks Chamber of Commerce recently hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony and Vibe@5 networking event at Firetender in Manteo, celebrating a bold new chapter for one of the area’s favorite gathering places, under new management.
Already established as a popular spot on the Outer Banks, Firetender is entering an exciting new phase with the addition of Executive Chef and General Manager, Shaun Belangia, a reimagined menu featuring stone-oven pizzas and hearth-fired skillets, and newly launched lunch and Sunday brunch services available Tuesday through Saturday.
The event, kicked off by Chamber Board Chair Melissa Harrison, brought together Chamber Board members, SPARC Committee members, fellow Chamber members, and friends of Firetender for an evening of celebration and community connection. Special thanks to Firetender for generously hosting and catering the festivities, offering guests a first taste of the new menu.
Chef Belangia expressed his enthusiasm for this next chapter at Firetender, sharing his appreciation for the warm welcome from the Outer Banks community and his excitement to introduce the restaurant’s new culinary direction to locals and visitors alike.
