Outer Banks Distilling and Duke Dog Photography will partner to host “Wag the Vote,” a community fundraiser benefiting the Coastal Humane Society, from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 23.
With preparations underway at Outer Banks Distilling in Manteo, the event invites the public to participate in the selection process for the Duke Dog Photography Coastal Canine Calendar Contest. Attendees can vote for their favorite dogs using tickets, with a $10 admission fee providing 10 initial voting tickets. Additional tickets will be available for purchase for $1 each.
The fundraiser features specialty themed cocktails, including the Rum Retriever and Ruff Rum Punch. Two dollars from every specialty drink sold will be donated directly to the Coastal Humane Society. Salt & Cypress Kitchen and Cocktails will provide snacks for the event.
Guests also have the opportunity to enter a raffle for a chance to win a professional photo session with Duke Dog Photography. For participants whose dogs are already entered in the calendar contest, the raffle prize consists of a full gallery upgrade.
All proceeds from the voting and drink sales will directly support the mission of the Coastal Humane Society to help people help their pets.
