Outer Banks PrideFest organizers have added a third event to their upcoming weekend lineup, announcing a free live concert by artist Jade Loving at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 30, to help kick off local Pride Month celebrations.
According to the event page for the new addition, Old Tom’s Beer, Wine and Provisions will host the performance on the Manteo waterfront with venue organizers inviting community members and friends to enjoy the concert in a casual atmosphere with comfortable lounge seating.
The concert is held in conjunction with the upcoming 15th annual Outer Banks Pride Festival, scheduled later this year for September 11-13. More information about the festival can be found at www.obxpridefest.com.
The performance by Loving joins two previously announced community-centered kick-off events scheduled for the upcoming weekend to jumpstart local celebrations ahead of June’s nationwide Pride Month, including the Queer OBX Community Potluck Picnic on May 30 and the All For Love Pride event at The Blue Point on May 31.
All three events are free, open to the public, and helmed by local nonprofit OBX Pride, Inc. to welcome allies, families, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community.
