N.C. Aquarium educators to lead Fall Nature Walks along Duck Boardwalk

Outdoor enthusiasts can explore local wildlife and native plant life this fall alongside an educator from the N.C. Aquarium on Roanoke Island.

“Nature on the Boardwalk,” hosted by the Town of Duck, will feature three guided tours designed for participants ages 9 and older. The 1-mile walks begin at Duck Town Hall, winding through the maritime forest before stepping out onto the town’s soundside boardwalk.

The program includes two morning sessions and one evening walk:

  • September 15: 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.

  • September 22: 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

  • October 7: 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.

While the event is free, registration is required and capacity is limited to 20 participants per walk. To reserve a spot, call 252-255-1234 or email events@ducknc.gov with the names of all attendees in your party and the ages of any children.
