Kitty Hawk Kites will host the annual Outer Banks Kite Festival from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on September 11-12 at Jockey’s Ridge State Park.
The free, family-friendly weekend event features giant show kites taking to the sky, including a 100-foot octopus and massive fish displays. Professional kite flyers will perform aerial acrobatics during stunt kite demonstrations throughout the two-day festival.
Attendees of all ages can participate in complimentary lessons to learn how to maneuver stunt and power kites.
The event is open to the public, and admission is free.
