Coastal flood watch issued Sunday through Monday - OBX Today
(NWS Morehead City)
With Saturday’s showers and isolated storms concluding, the National Weather Service (NOAA) says they will now turn their attention to the coastal flood threat, which will begin to ramp up early Sunday evening, and last through Monday morning to perhaps early afternoon.

Strong west to west northwest winds (35-45 mph) will produce potentially moderate water level rises (2-4 ft) on the soundside of Hatteras Island, northward to the northern Outer Banks.

A coastal flood watch has been issued from 7 p.m. March 10 to 2 p.m. March 11 as a result.
