On Friday, August 9, 2024, 311 is set to bring their Unity Tour to the Outer Banks with special guests AWOLNATION and Neon Trees, brought to you by Vusic OBX as a part of their 2024 summer concert series.
The gates will open to Roanoke Island Festival Park at 5 p.m. that evening in Manteo, with the show beginning at 6:30 p.m. Catch all the songs you love including “Amber,” “All Mixed Up,” and “Come Original.”

About AWOLNATION
On the 2018 song “Cannonball,” AWOLNATION mastermind Aaron Bruno sang, “I wear my heart on my sleeve ‘cause it’s all that I know.” The same could be said for his multifaceted forays into music – he follows his heart not a plan. After he broke through with the improbable, worldwide hit “Sail” in 2011 – which has since been certified diamond for sales of 10 million units – Bruno could have made carbon copies to keep on rolling. But he didn’t. He continued to create a diverse umbrella of sounds to explore
under that tag and released singles that both topped the modern rock radio chart and received recognition among fellow artists and his musical heroes.
While there was a clear dance/electronic and indie rock synergy on the platinum album Megalithic Symphony (2011) and its follow-up Run (2015), classic rock sounds became more prevalent on Here Come The Runts (2018) and Angel Miners & the Lightning Riders (2020). If you’re going to something, do it with all you’ve got. That’s how Tyler Glenn approaches everything, from making music to living authentically to creating welcoming spaces for those around him. It’s also a sensibility that’s evident on Neon Trees’ upcoming fifth studio album, slated for spring 2024.
“Our last album came out during the pandemic, and it was a terrible time to put out an album,” Tyler says. “So I focused on what I could control. Most of us were out in orbit, spiraling, but writing music was something I could do. I wrote by myself, I wrote with other artists, and this collection of songs came from that. It taught me a valuable lesson in sticking with your gut. We could have released one-off singles or hopped on a trend, but as a band we’ve always done what we wanted to do and made the type of music we wanted to make. There’s a vein of honesty we’ve always evoked, but this album is as real and as honest as possible.”
